Default will that work good D15B7 block with D16Z6 head?

i am thinking about doing this but is it realy reliable and will work without problem. as the block is 1.5L and the head is from 1.6L humm. i can get that head for cheap but if it not recommended i will get a 1.6L block witch one i should go for same D16Z6?my car is automatik if the head with manifold is from a manual will it work what about axles, mounts, tranny, exhaust will i need to change anything or since it all form d series it should be all bolt on.

the head will work fine. You'll get slightly more compression w/ a mini me VS the straight 1.6 block AFAIK. There will be no issues w/ your tranny/axels, etc as that has nothing to do w/ the head. You'll need to pick up the 1.6 auto VTEC ECU for that to work properly, or get your ECU chipped if you are OBD1...

If you search, Bauley Civic did great write up on the Mini Me process.

the d15b vtec head is the same as the z6. some people say that there is a different cam in the d15, while others say they are the same cam. but to answer your question, yes it will work perfectly fine.

it's the same thing if you still plan on using a non vtec block.

aren't the d15b7 and d16 the same block? to convert to vtec you only have to remove the oil jet plug. IMHO the only differences are between vtec and non vtec head and intake and headers between 1.5L and 1.6L i could be wrong though.

if i'm not mistaken, a b7 head on a z6 block will give you really low cpr....like 8:1 ish...i could be wrong though. z6/b7 blocks have nothing in common. crank/rods/pistons are all different.

agree b7 first is non vtec so that will not be good on a z6 block. i guess it make sence that they have different internal parts but interm of the block size?

The b7 with the z6 head will give you 10+ compression because of the blocks flat top pistons. With the y8 head you will get even higher comp. Ask bauleycivic about it. He runs the setup and uses premium octane gas because of the high compression.

yeah a z6 head on a b7 block is the mini-me swap it a good setup but what i wa saying is in responce to DJ_SaNdOz he was saying that b7 head on a z6 block would suck. what about a d1b5 head and z6 intake and headers on b7 block would that have higher compression or the same?

reading comprehension pwns joo. I never said it would suck. I actually stated that you would gain compression by doing this....
