every time i hit vtec, check engine light comes on and then the vtec doesn't hit as hard...does anybody know what's wrong?? a friend of mine told me to ground the vtec to the chassis but that doesn't work. need help bad...haha

 

What code is the ECU throwing at u? It will tell u the root of the problem...

 

What mods do you have? I know if you have a vafc and set the vtec engagement point to low it will throw a code. You have to keep it within a reasonable range.

 

if ur throwin 22 then its the vtec pressure switch..check ur oil level..sometimes if u dont have enough or if u have too much oil it will cause this to happen..more than likely it will be due to less than enough oil...if ur oil level is fine...u may be in the market for a new oil pump...
