Ok here we go

Got and SIR 99-00 motor in my 97 civic si and my freaking Vtec won't engage and also my engine does not cutoff

I have Try 3 different ECU all the same results so I know its not the ECUs cause one of them is running in my friends car and it all good in is..

So Any of your Mechanic expert out there could think of anything that could cause the Vtec not to engage or the engine not to cutoff

the tach was working with my other engine witch was Vtec also... could it be something about the wirering cause the 96-98 civic are 0bd2a and 99-00 are 0bd2b

if your missing info in this tread ask and i'll try to put more info that you need

jus use a 96-98 vtec harness and see if that helps !

 

the harnest in the engine bay you mean I'm really not good when it comes to electronic

 

What harness did you use and what ECU. The engine harness is a one piece harness and runs from the engine through the firewall and plugs into the ECU.

 

I have the Harnest of the 97 civic si/ex using a OBD1 ECU with a converting harnest from obd2a to obd1

I noticed something From my Vtec selenoid I have one wire going to the distributor harness but you can see that they cut a cable in there witch is Green and hooked up the Vtec Wire to that.. could it be the wrong wire ???
