The vtec pressure switch is the sensor with the little green plug on your vtec solenoid........ if you don't know where that is, it's on the back passenger side of your head. I'll try and find a pic........
did u replace it? did u just get the swap done? cause i had the same problem but it was the wiring, double check the wiring, ur probably also redlineing maddddd early like at 6700

exactly im redlining early about 6800 and the swap was done bout a year ago, can i test the vtec using a switch to run power to the pressure switch and the selenoid will it activate that way?? im going to doble check the wiring too.. how do u replace the sensor i have no idea how u pull it out..
yup u see, guessin ur obd2? well the pressure switch is very easy to take off, from wat i remember its a sz 22mm wrench...i thnk not 100% sure, but u jus unplug the green switch and stick the wrench in there and turn, and it comes out.....damn u did the swap a year ago and no vtec and redlineing at 6700?!? u must get spanked by sohc vtecs all day lol i went like all summer w/o vtec and wen u first feel it ur llike
double check the two wires goin to the pressure switch ones blk n blue n ones blk i think

ok i figured the wiring was loose theres 4 wires a blue, green, black, red what exactly do i need so that vtec engages??? the selenoid and the pressure swith or is there other stuff??? the car aint mine and the guys who did the swap did some ghetto wiring im trying to figure out how to get vtec to engage..
Dude I think you might have something else wrong for VTEC not to engage
I throw the same code (22) after I swapped but engine runs fine and VTEC engages.
I have had it checked out by the local honda expert mechanic around here and he cannot find anything wrong with my pressure switch
I got to the point where I just mounted my VAFC where I cannot see that annoying little orange light pop on
I would like to know the outcome of this problem though.

u sure ur engageing vtec, does it say vti:ON wen u go into vtec on ur vafc? cause every1 i knew including me didnt engage in vtec, cause thats a pretty common cel w/swaps
vtec is 3 wires. One wire for the solenoid (goes to A4 pinout), 2 wires for pressure switch (Positive wire goes to D6, negative goes to A26 on some ecu's, but on P28 the negative can just be grounded to the head). Trace your wires before you start spending money on sensors.
