Default Hondata Tuned....bad results????

Hi everyone,

Posting this up for a friend as he is trying to figure out what is wrong with his
ITR.
Had it tuned on a Dynojet last week with AEM CAI, Header and Invadia Exhaust and it resulted in 165 whp and 112 ft trq. I know this is extremely low.
We are at 3100 ft elevation here in Calgary and it was about 25 degrees C outside.
(around 80f).
His VTEC is set at stock 5700 and it just doesn't seem to pull as hard anymore.

Thoughts on what is wrong?

this thread is worthless without a baseline taken on the same dyno on the same day

what are we to compare his numbers to?

With what is posted without the dyno sheet dosen't seem far off. With those minal add ons I wouldn't expect to get much higher numbers unless the header is a race header. Just my 2 cents though

I guess what I was hoping to get out of this was
a) to figure out relative to other ITR's with similar mods if the numbers are within range.

b) to see if the low number could be the result of a poor tuning map.

I've seen many ITR's on this board go over 170 and even close to 180whp
with the same mods.

Sorry, no baseline yet.

with neptune, ebay short ram intake, the victor x manifold, stock 96specR header, and a greddy SP1 exhaust i made 172whp and 122ft lbs.

try advancing the timing maps. we were sitting at around 165 using the stock map, after advancing the timing 3-5 dgrees over stock we were able to get another 7whp. we could have gotten more, but we were already running very aggressive timing for pump gas and 100 degree weather, so we stopped.

a good tuner makes a world of difference too, who tuned yours?

Speedtech Racing Development here in Calgary.
I double checked with them today on A/F, timing and VTEC engagement point and it was all done correctly.
