what is cel code 6?????
like the title says what is cel code 6 and how do you fix it?

not sure if its the same on ur engine but on my b16 there were a few plugs that can be switched up, and i was getting codes. the colant temp and vtec wires i believe have the same type plug. try switching them that helped me

The car will still run fine, except vtec will not engage (if it's a vtec motor), and it may have a slightly lower rev limit. I drove (carefully) with code 6 for a couple hundred miles with no problems

it's on the passenger side of the head. It's a two-wire connector below the vtec solenoid.
First check for any breaks in the wire going from the sensor to the ECU. Thats what my problem was.

thats the vtec oil pressure switch not the coolant temperature sensor....ne one else know where its at?cuz this is the only code left i need to fix

ok i found it ....but the problem is that one of the two wires is cut from the plug....now i have to get a new plug and rewire the 2 wires into the plug....problem is where can i get another plug and what kind is it????

what do u mean? it should start up but will be rich. if u have vtec this code will keep it from actavating.

if it's dissconected it will default to -40 or super rich. if shorted then it is 283

aite i one of the wires was cut so i went to the junkyard and wired up a new plug...does it matter what color wires are wired up...or are they interchangeble???
