I've got a 93 S. I'm just wondering how much gas can be put into the tank.

 

well on an Si its 15.9, so i would assume its the same on the s model also

I've found a couple different places with the specs on it, but I got this specific one from http://cjnicolas.tripod.com/


It has S, Si, VtiR for the 4th gen and a chart showing specs for 5th gen base and vtec.

 

but it is weird for my S 4th gen lude. When my fuel light was on, 10 gallon will make my tank full... hmmm... 5 extra gallons reserved?

 

I'm not familiar with the tanks themselves, but sounds like whatever sensor is in there is not in the right place.

-I'm not sure if this is even possible - that's one thing I haven't had apart, maybe someone can follow up on this?

 

in my 3rd gen, it was not uncommon for the light to come on with 4+ gallons...
just know what your mileage is generally like, you'll be fine

 

I had a 93 S and there would be easily 2, usually 3 gallons when the light came on. Then the light would sort of fade in and out. Guages aren't all that accurate.

damn i usually fill up when i have 2 bars left and it ends up usually being around 12.8 gallons leaving my 4 gallons

 

hm... one time i ran the gas til it dry... well according to the gauge at least... no bars of gas left... than when i pumped it came out to be about... 15.1 gallons...

 

im going to take a trip from CT to CA shortly here, I'll let yas know

 

Yep 3th gens have 15.9 gal tanks.

yeah, thats how it is on my si. i like it though, i know that if my car gets down to empty, i still have almost 6 gallons left.
