NEED HELP "on emissions test"
ok guys i reset my CEL at 4 today and drove the car ti'll 7 and i still couldn't get the ready codes to come back. so it could be inspected. i have a 01 ITR so i can only have one ready code not ready by law in NC. I can not truen my car off do to the fact the CEL will come back on b/c my ecu is moded "imm." it still works but is chiped to my key but not by acura. what do you guys think? i know two people that will do what ever it takes to help it pass but they do not know have to get by the obdII system..... they told them in inspec. school that the computer reads the vin off of the Ecu i don not thank that is posable is it???

just turn in your plates and re-register, it will buy you a year, thats how it is in ny, they mail you an uninspected vehicle if not inspected within a year, just get new plates if its that big a haslle

What's the code? Mods to the car? Easier to fix what's wrong than to mess around with new/reflashed ECU's.
Worst case, find a friend who doesn't live in an emissions county and register it there. The new plug-in test is a major pain in the ***, been there, done that with the Turbo Pig
BTW, seems to take about 50 miles, and 2-3 shutoffs/restarts to reset the subsystems.
