i found some 97 itr cams with aem cam gears for about $320 shipped i was wondering if this would work ok or should i just save up for some ctr cams will the extra duration really make that much of a difference

mildly ported b16 head
.5mm oversized valves
jg throttle body
port matched skunk 2 manifold
dc 4-1 header
11ish compression ratio

 

the only differense between the '96-'97 Spec ITR cams and the CTR cams is 3 degrees of duration on the Intake vtec lobe. I know this because I had a '96 Spec JDM ITR and we measured the difference between the CTR my buddy put in his B16. I made 191whp on the OEM P73 ecu

 

i was just wondering if that 3 degrees of duration would make that much of a difference

 

maybe 1 oe 2 hp to the flywheel. So no.....
