Hey all, I guess I'm crossing over to the dark side here with a few questions...

My girl just bought her first car and I think it's an LH? It's a 2000 Civic with no sunroof or VTEC, I know it's not the CX(?) or the EX model. It has an L in it.

ANYWAYS, she has an aftermarket stereo which she hates and has no keyless entry. Is it true that the factory radios came prewired with the keyless entry? And if so, can you just buy an OEM radio and remote and get the keyless entry?

Where would one go to buy that setup?

It's an LX. I'm not too sure about the stereo/keyless entry dilemma. Try searching it, I know there was a topic on this not too long ago...

 

The 2000 coupes were DX, LX and EX. The LX was a DX with power windows, locks and a few other things.

On 96 - 98 the remote entry was wired through the radio, that changed in the 99-00 models.

Go here: http://www.handa-accessories.com/civelec00.html for the keyless. It's less than $70. I've dealt with them many times, and they have great service and prices.

**in addition to that, i'm pretty sure that LX models did not come with keyless entry
