Could my car be smoking during warm up because of a faulty PCV Valve?
I have this problem... While my car is warming up, it likes to oil smoke quite a bit... I don't have any blowby out the breather that I have on my car, but it SMOKES... ALOT when the car is first warming up and a little still once the car is warm, but not to operating temp.
Hmmm I'm pissed...
Newly rebuilt motor, HAD a newly rebuilt turbo when it went on, and now this schnit.
I am pushing ALOT of Oil pressure when the car is cold too... nearly 6 bar on my GReddy gauge. Once the oil gets warm, the pressure comes down... Maybe the pressure is blowing oil through the Turbo seals?
Help, please guys.

If it was blowing by your turbo seals it would be blowing by regardless of temp. Did you get forged pistons? bored over? Sounds like the high oil pressure is pushing oil up until you get to temp.
yeah... endyne pistons... no real audible slap and no blowby from the head....
I'm lost

Hey man im having the same problem also but mine is just stock b16. In the morning when its cold its always smoke, but once its warm up no more smoke. Its weird, no blow by or nothing. Im trying to figure out wtf is wrong!!
Does the smoking come from the engine bay, or tail pipe ?
Engine bay:
With a newly built motor and turbo:
You are prolly getting excesive crankcase pressure spitting out of your PCV or tru the breather filter... (Check the breather filter nd surrounding parts for signs of oil)
Solution: Oil Catch can
If it's coming from the tail pipe and you are not blown... The turbo seals might be damaged... Do you have a turbo timer ? Shutting off the motor with a blazing hot turbo will kill your seals right quick...

I ALWAYS let my car idle for 3-4 minutes at least... I have a turbo timer in the car, but it's hooked to the accessory wire, not the ignition wire... Don't blame me, I had it installed at the "shop" I hung out at all the time when I frst had the turbo installed... not my fault... I'm thinking about taking it to a stereo shop I know the guys at and have them take a look at it.
It only smokes out the tailpipe. There is NO blowby. No oil on the intake manifole/injector area. No smoke out the hood, either. It only happens when the car is cold.... Could it be from tooo much oil pressure when the car is cold? It's making nearly 6 bar <90 PSI> at warm up idle according to my GReddy oil pressure gauge... Only 1 bar <15ish PSI> at idle one it's warmed up...
I'm switching to Synthetic 5w30 or 10w30 today to see if thinner, higher quality oil helps the situation....
Any more suggestions... anyone?

Well, no go on the synthetic.. it's not quite as bad, but still smokin, as the movie goes
Any other ideas, guys?
I found that my hose running to my PCV valve is a little POS silicone thing that at idle likes to flatten and cut off flow.. it is possible that this is causing some bottom end pressure problems and forcing oil into the combustion chambers somehow? I'm so lost...

It sounds like when your car is cold the excess oil pressure is blowing by in your turbo and getting burnt. When it warms up the pressure goes down and the turbo seals seal properly. Isn't 6 bar to high of pressure for a turbo. I would recommend getting a restiction in that line.
