Auto transmission problem??? Maybe??
My '92 prelude H23's uatomatic tranny is acting weird. It shifts great until you get on it and rather than 'git up 'an go' it kinda downshifts to a way too low of a gear and goes nowhere. just revs in a lower gear. Not a slipping rev, but like a drastic downshift rev if you've ever downshifted from 4th to 2nd while going 55 on accident, then you know what i mean. And another thing, when im cruising about 65-70 on the interstate, my rpm's are around 3-3200...that sounds kinda high....who can give me a little advice??
Those rpm's sound right for that speed in an auto H23.
In the Helm's manual is a troubleshooting checklist for the AT, to determine whether it is shifting at the proper speeds at certain throttle, etc. That's the only thing I can advise to you. Get that manual if you suspect something. Also check your tranny fluid.
