a good combo for civic hatch w/ h22
I have a EG H22 and wanted to know whats a good setup.
im going to be using this car as a daily driver mostly and gonna take it to the drag strip every now and then.
i need something not too bouncey. i have koni yellows and eibach sportsline on my Prelude and it rides good, but thats on a Prelude and this is a civic with a heavy motor in front so i dont know how it will handle with civic springs.
right now its sitting on some generic springs (and its cut
) that came with the car on stock shocks.
anyone with a eg or ek with a H22? what are you running? hows the ride quality?

I ran koni's and GC's when i had my h22 eh2 and it rode nice as hell.. It was nice and stiff all around...
The H up front is not a drastic difference like everyone claims it to be. It does make the front seem a bit heavier but koni's and GC's did real well for me.
You could also look into getting a set of omni power full coilovers. That should
do you well too.

you used the koni and GC civic springs? did you asked them to change the spring rate?
i think the H is like 70lbs or so more then a B so i guess it wont be too bad.
I hear good and bad things about the omni coilovers. mostly bad when i search. and my cousin just got a set of those for his EG GSR turbo. ill see how he likes it after a while. most people complain about how the omni after a couple months go bad.
i had my konis like forever and they're still great. so i might go with koni again. but not sure on what springs yet.

Check this link out: GC Motor Swap Kit
I matched my GCs to Koni Sports. Best way to go in my opinion.

Progress makes fully integrated coilover suspension specifically for the various swaps including the H22 for civics.

I've had mine for probably a year and a half. I did not get the "swap kit" but I did get custom spring rates. I went with 400F/300R because I have the 22mm rear sway bar. The ride quality is pretty damn good to me, however, the one with ***** next to me sometimes complains.
The best thing about the combo is the warranty. Both have a lifetime warranty and if you ever need it, they make it so easy to et it taken care of. You just have to make sure you're the original purchaser and that you buy them from an approved dealer.
The other cool thing about GC is if you decide that you want to go with stiffer or softer spring rates, you just call them up and tell them what you want.
It's a tried setup and continues to prove itself over and over again.
PS - I also got the GC upper mounts to put the shocks into a better range of operation for ride comfort.

When my buddie had his H22 Ek. He had KYB AGX and Skunk 2's to start that they were the WORST riding suspension that i have EVER been in. He changed out the shocks to the Neuspeed Sports and it rode 1000x better.
I have GC on my Lude and i LOVE them. I would DEFENTLY go with them on your HB swap!
