Default Automatic/Manual IACV differences?

Hello,

I'm thinking about adding VTEC to my automatic '96 CX. Basically, putting a the d16y8 ECM, throttle body, intake, and head on my d16y7.

I've noticed that there are a lot of little differences between the automatic and manual EKs, most are not issues. However, I am a little confused about the differences between the 2 intake&IACV systems.

I've seen conflicting information regarding what IACV is on the d16y8 AUTOMATIC intake. Is it a 2-wire or 3-wire? Do I absolutely need to get the d16y8 automatic intake/iacv for my d16y7? Are there any other important auto/manual differences that I am missing in this case?

Thanks.
Jim

No, there may be a difference but you DO NOT need to swap it to a manual if your running an auto tranny or vice versa. You can leave it the way it is.
