long life and even bearing wear if everything is balanced right. what can you expect from it? not a damned thing. meaning if you do it, your motor wont blow because of the crank. your tripping if you think its a hp gain. you can knife edge it for a rotating mass reduction, but your bearings would be gone in like 2k miles

longer engine life. Polishing won't do jack. balancing is the main key.

I definitely wouln't venture to say polishing won't do jack. The process wouldn't exist if that were truth. The idea behind polishing is to create a very even surface, minimizing scratches and imperfections which could reduce oiling effectiveness. It's not something that is going to make a world of difference, but it's every little thing that adds up to alot in terms of reliability and quality.
