Allmotor crvtec fuel pressure question......
I will be finishing my mild all motor build this weekend, which consists of a b20b block, w/ gsr crank, omniman modded pistons, gsr head, upgraded valvetrain, skunk2 IM, RC 310s, stock fuel pump, aeromotive FPR, titanium race header and BC spec 3+ cams...I will be running hondata s100 and i was wondering what i should adjust my aeromotive fuel pressure regulator to in order to break the motor in around town before i get a full tune? welcome to all ideas....thanks guys
a lil delayed but I just started her up last night to check for leaks.....after working out a few bugs the car idled well......I tested the fuel pressure from 45-60 PSI at idle. however if i would rev the car to 3000rpms the car seemed to overload with fuel and almost stall. The car ran and reved fine with the FPR set at 35psi? I was a bit shocked because i expected my fuel pressure needed to be set higher? Also neone have any experiences with Aggressive Motor Sports in NJ? need my hondata tuned ...any input THANX BRYAN

actually i bought it used off of quangsta here on H-T.....he was running a highly modded c5 motor on it...so i figured it should be able to withstand break in and before i get it tuned.....any advice?

and pay for all that dyno time before its broken in to tune?

You will be broken in about 15 or 20 minutes. This will happen while you are being tuned. The tune will set you up for the proper A/F while breaking in so that you don't runlean and have the cylinders go oval and burn oil, or run really rich and wash the cylinders screwing up your ring seating. The life of the motor will be determined off the jump. I am one of those guys that says break it in on the dyno. Others will disagree but that's my .02. If you are very far froma good tuner or dyno then at least get someone to chip something for your setup to get you close. I wouldn't just roll the dice.

yea i guess. i just know xs engeneering told me it would be a better idea to breakit in with a good basemap on the street cause it would take a couple hours to fully break the motor in on a dyno.

get it tuned, dont break int he motor un tuned, its soo much safer to just get it dyno tuned, even a soft base tune for low rpms, then either bring it back for a full tune, or break it in for a couple 100 miles on the dyno . . you dotn wanna be too rich for break in or your rings wont seat right, and too lean and your fucked the the piston walls are scorched
