rear brake questions (pads and rotors)
i have a 99 accord and last week my brakes started screatching, so I knew it was time to replace the brakes (noise got really annoyin, bent the screatch clip until my brakes arrived). i bought brembo rotors and ebc greenstuff pads.
i ran into a few problems today doin the job (so i only did 1 side), i couldn't get the 2 screws out holding the rotor down. of coarse i searched the board right now and everyone recommended an impact driver, great. too bad i already drilled the screws out.
another issue was the piston, i had no idea you had to screw it back (only did a front brake job before). so i used a c clamp to move it and it went. is it possible i damaged it?
the rotors didnt come with screws, plus they didn't line up with the screw holes in the hub anyway, so the rotors arent 100% secure. can that turn into a problem down the road?
tomorrow im gonna finish the job, hopefully do things right this time. any tips and suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

sounds like you did a good job in working your way around your problems, with the pistons they shouldnt be damaged at all you should be okay with those, and with the rotors the screws you dont really need them there anyway, alot of people go without the two screws so there is no problem there i know cause i work at an auto shop so its all good good luck

Does the parking brake still work?

im sure it does, ill go check right now...
just finished up everything. bought the impact driver, didn't do a thing, ended up drilling the screws out again. the screw holes in this rotor matched up with the hub, guess Import Racing sent me the same rotor. both wheels turned easily although there was a spot where it wasnt smooth, im sure it'll even out after they brake in.
