tranny mount ?

Default tranny mount ?

on the ef's whats the name of the thing where the tranny mounts too , i think its called the cross memeber its like a beam that goes across i was wondering if anyone ahs tooken it out before ????/

On a stock d series engine there are two transmission mounts. One mounts to the front crossmember and one mounts to the passenger side frame rail. I would not suggest removing the front mount since it greatly restrains the movement of the engine. Most B series swap mounts only use three mounts but since they use such a stiff mount insert, the front mount can be discarded.

thanks i appreciate that cause some times on ef's i always see no crossmemeber and wonder what people do

you need a crossmember there for the suspension, otherwise the control arms would flap around. but, the stock crossmember kinda sucks so there are tubular ones you can buy, look up traction bars.
