Default IACV valve *worse* after cleaning

Car specs:
89 CRX Si
B16A1

My idle was bouncing up and down in revs and not idling properly.
So I took off my IACV valve and cleaned it out with some carb cleaner and let it dry before I put it back in. Made sure my gasket ring thing is intact and all. When I first put it back in, it ran great, idled like a charm for about a week. Now in the last week it won't idle below 1400 rpm (and no, I didn't touch the idle screw), and it bounces like crazy again. I took my car up to a self wash place and washed it, and after that I had absolutely no idle. I had to keep gas on it the whole way home because it literally wouldn't idle. By the time I drove it home it would somewhat idle on its own (at about 500 rpm or so.. and it would bounce around)
It's almost like theres a leak somewhere in it or something. I don't know what to do, when I put the IACV valve back on I torqued it to spec.

Any suggestions? What does this sound like to you guys?

try the fitv, those tend to be bad on b16's

Fast Idle Thermo Valve. Right under the throttle body, has two coolant hoses going into it, 3 10mm screws. Next there are 2 screws on one end, unscrew them. Inside is a white plastic thing that holds a spring. Just screw it back in. Mine does it about every 3 months, mainly after autocrosses.

from what i heard carb cleaner messes up the coils inside the iacv, the best cleaner would be electronic parts cleaner

also did u maybe miss plave the seal that goes on it?

You can check your iacv by unplugging it and see if the car reacts to it. It should start to die or stall with it disconnected. If nothing changes apply power directly to the iacv, you should here it click open if the valve is working properly. Do not let the power hooked up for long, just long enough to here it click.

If you have done any work where you played with your TPS ie IM removal or TB removal, check to make sure you have it set right for the idle. This happened to me on my B18b and thats what it was. TPS should be .49 volts at idle
