clutch install went bad on gsr
Damn it sucks it took 1 day to put in clutch but clutch install wen tbad. Problems are i can engage in gear. I have to force it to engage. Axles were a bitch. We are thinking maybe the axles are not in all the way. We were also unable to bolt the i believe the front sway bar. The bolt was hard to reach the top bolt because it was hanging down. Please can anyone help. We fill with almost 3 quarts of manual transfmission fluid. What can be wrong? We installed exedy stage 1 clutch. Im gonna get it towed and bring it to a shop because its too much hassle. I can put it in gear for some reason and when i do with a lot of force, it boggles a little when moving.
well first u dont need to unbolt the swaybar, u dont even need to touch that.
and of course the axles are always a bitch. you'll know if u got them in all the way
but if they are not will not affect the gear selection
did u use a clutch alignment tool and did u make sure to install the disc correctly??

yes we use the alignment tool with throwout bearing. Im thinking it could be the slave cylinder missing 1 bolt or maybe we put too much fluid. we put almost 3 quarts honda manual tranny fluid. How do i bleed the slave cylinder??

Well you should only have to bleed it if you disconnected it. Have someone in the car pump the clutch pedal while your out at the slave cylinder have them hold it and you let loose the bleeder valve on the slave. Tighten it back up and have them pump and hold it again and so on and so forth until you have good pressure.

Does anyone think too much fluid couls be causing this???</TD></TR></TABLE>
Its pretty much impossible to put in too much fluid in the tranny. It starts leaking out when its full.
