Yesterday, I got pulled over for not having working tail lights.
I have an alarm and that makes the tail lights work, so I know the bulb is good.
Any ideas, I checked connections around the fuse box and came to no solution.
please help

 

how long have you had the alarm?... ive seen some half *** alarm jobs cause this... i would take it back to whoever installed the alarm and have them look over it

 

Anyways just the past week out of nowhere my instrument cluster deicded not to work.
Then my tail lights don't work and my fron signal lights don't work.
I know the bulbs are all good because when i click on my alarm, they all light up.
However when I go to turn on the lights, especially at night time, all I have go on is the headlight.
My tail lights don't go on, but when I press the brake, they go on.
my front signal lights don't go on, but when I turn on the hazards, they go on?
This is killing me, what can be causing this?


Here is a better description. The alarm has been in for 6 years, with no problems, I got the viper alarm put in when i got the car.
Everytime I click the alarm to open the doors, the tail lights and the front signal lights go on meaning the bulbs are good and the alarm isn't the faulty thing.
Now the wiring, I have no idea?

 

the instrument cluster lights didn't work or the whole thing didnt' work i had that problem in my gsr before it was a fuse 10 amp or 15 amp fuse i replaced it and my tail lights guage cluster lights worked fine try that hope it helps. shoot

yes sir... had that happen in my old crx

Ditto, in the 2K4 Lancer for me, I got it installed about 2 months later I had a hella ticket for no tail or corner lights during evening hours.

 

check all connections...wires could have messed up, check fuses

 

my fuses are perfectly fine and only the lights to the cluster and instrument dash don't work
