can a turbo blow/burn oil without actually having blown seals or shaft play?
any thoughts? for instance you have a perfectly healthy turbo, but there is too much pressure or volume in the oil feed/return system that it somehow works its ways past the seals? or the ring i should say. i ask because i just recently got my turbo inspected and new seals put in and 2 months later its blowing into the compressor wheel and inlet. i'm using -3AN feedline and -10AN return line done correctly. very little shaft play, but still good according to the guys at turbo technology.
maybe its time for an oil restrictor.. i used one on my turbo.. i made mine with a .055" hole.. atp turbo sells one for little over 10 bucks i think..
maybe its coincidence but ever since i installed an exhaust slash cut evac set up on my car... This annoying oil leak i had from the head gasket has stopped. Ive got a slashcut in my exhaust to oil separator, and one from my valve cover to dump tube.
