high rpm at 60 mph...?
when im just cruisin at like 60 in 5th gear the car revs at like 4500 rpms, it just seems like it should be a little lower because im gunna really eat up gas and i like the sound of greddy but not that much...any ideas...
you have a jdm transmission.
thats how high it revs to do that speed on the highway.
welcome to hell.
you can swap in a usdm integra LS 5th gear to lower it, but you cant buy just the gears anymore, so youd need to buy a whole ls tranny, and remove just that gear from it.
or just use the whole ls tranny, and lose the fast 1-4th

yeah if your at 4500 @ 60 in 5th, then when racing you must shift outta first gear at like 15 mph, then second at like 25..... can you even hit 100 mph??

i usually do 110 kmh (68 mph) which is running at 4200 rpms. i try to keep it under 4400 rpms cuz thats vtec time. i wanna do a ls 5th gear swap on my tranny later down the road but until then ill just cruise it
i thought my si tranny was bad, 3k at 58mph i think it is. why not try throwing some taller tires on, its easy to change back to smaller tires for a race.

PR3 ECU has throttle sensitive vtec control...
Another words you can cruise at 5500 if you wanted to and as long as you weren't above half throttle then vtec wouldnt engage.
As far as ive notice PR3 has this feature and PW0 doesnt.
