Default 92 vx civic hatchback

hey my freind has a vx hatchback. dont know exactly what motor is in there i neer looked r really cared but i as wanting to know if the z6 IM would work on that motor and also if the z6 exhaust manifold would fit to???? thanks alot

yes it will fit but assuming its the stock motor, the ports on the z1 head are the size of a quarter and it will not be able to flow the extra incoming air brought in by the intake manifold... you would be better off changing the head and intake manifold

If you use a Z6 exhaust manifold, you will not have a cat anymore.

there is a extra solenoid on the vx IM. theres no hole for this on the d16z6. does neone know what this solenoid is

It's the EGR, you don't use it for any other motor (except some H22's)

Personally I wouldnt waste the time. I had a 92 VX and i just swap in a longblock and threw my VX tranny for like ~$200 longblock and ECU he'll like that better....and I the EGR has to due with the VTEC-E but dont hold me too it, i just think its one extra thing that can go bad on a car lol
