Damn I guess there is no other way around it huh? I was hoping there was. Oh well. But I can control how high it goes with either upgrading to an external wastegate or a an mbc tuned with hondata?

On Electronic boost controllers with a stepper motor solenoid, it is possible to relieve some of the spiking that is appearent, but that must be set precisely to do it. Blitz, Greddy, and Apex'i all have boost controllers w/ solenoids to assist in controlling spike.
The best way is to port the WG hole itself, by about 1-2mm, and it should also assist in the correction.

Basically you install a valve - much like a BOV - that opens when a certain pressure is on it. It's an old-school trick, but it works. If the thing opens at 10 PSI, the charge pipes will not see more than 10 PSI. Of course, such things play havoc on MAF cars.
