I searched for over an hour and could not find exactly what I needed so now I am posting. My shop told me that I needed new motor mount inserts for my 2 front lower mounts. They said to get the ones that are from a 96-00 civic because they utilized my stock mounts. So I have no problems with the front two.

As for the rear mount though...which mount should I use?? I will purchase the 96-00 civic mount inserts for the front two and should I purchase the 99-00 si rear mount insert from Prothane since you can buy separately from them??

Also...would it be a big deal if I changed out only the front 2 mount inserts and not the rear??...would it vibrate like crazy??

if you are still using your original 98 mounts, you will only need the es kit made for 96-00 sohc. unless you are using 99-00 mounts (dont know why you would), then you will need 99-00 si insterts.

it shouldnt vibrate too crazy. i was using the same setup (96-00 sohc inserts) w/ hcp driver side mount on my 97 ex w/ b18c. didnt vibrate too crazy.

so my question is will it be really bad if i just replace the 2 lower mounts and not the rear mount?? or do i need to replace that one as well??

what will be the disadvantage if i dont replace the rear one??

its not that bad. i actually never used the inserts in the rear mount (got lazy)
