VTEC is not on the RSX's. RSX's have the new i-VTEC. The VAFC's don't work on them. Sorry man.

Which would mean that the RSX has VTEC. What you meant that it isn't the exact system used by the previous gen teg.

I believe that with the new "i-Vtec", the cam timing is continuously being changed to optimize performance. The "i" stands for intelligent. While motors with "Vtec" just have a switchover point (i.e. not continually changing). Therefore setting a vtec activation point on a vtec controller would mean nothing to a motor with "i-vtec"

why not?

the "i" and the vtec are two different things.

cam timing and vtec are completely separate components, but work together.

vtec on the s is 5800 (or 6k, cant remember) and cam timing is +/- 20deg and any given time.

Variable cam timing i think is VTC. VTEC is relatively same.

Hondata cant do anything for OBD2. You need to convert to OBD1 to use an OBD1 ecu from an older car. Since there is no i-vtec OBD1 i think you guys are out of luck.
