i was just given around 7grand and im looking into buying a new tuner car. obviously since i have some smarts in cars im goin with honda because its by far the best1 what should i look at? one i purchase the car i will have little money to spend on engine upgrades but will do some. anyone who can guide me please do so.

You can get a 2-4 year old GSX-R 1000 that will almost do 9's in the quarter, better milage, cheaper tires, better performance in the turns, easier to negotiate traffic, lane splitting if you're in california, higher attrition rate if you're an idiot driver, you do not need a garage since you can park it in your apartment...

he said he wants a honda. Personally, i would get an old 93 teg, do a swap, leave it alone and invest the rest of it.

 

If you're going for speed find a crx in good condition and swap a b16 into it.
but if you're looking for some speed/luxury/looks the lude is the way to go

 

If you wanna go fast on a "tuner" car, three letters... D S M.

For 7 grand, you could find a awd dsm, spend the rest of the cash on mods, and be into the 12 easily, possibly mid 11's depending on your "smarts in cars".

 

all i know is that my project car will be an EG hatch.
