X beam vs H beam vs I beam
which is better for High rpms? to what I understand X beam (pauter) has less windage loss which makes lubrication easier at high rpm, its also very strong on the compression stroke but weaker on the intake stroke.
I dont know much about the other designs.

for all motor, I beam is the way to go, as long as your not HUGE stroke and not revving to the moon, the I beam is strong enough....
but H beams are definitely stronger rods...
i have no knowledge on the x beams....

If you are comparing something like this:

To something like this:

H beam is typically the weaker rod.

I thought it was the I beam rod the weaker, am I right??

Not completely. There are more factors than just I beam vs H beam to decide which is better. An I beam can run dual pressurized oil passages to the wrist pin in an I beam design, where as an H beam can only run a single down the middle of the rod. This design feature can make a big difference for a high rpm motor, as lubrication to the wrist pin is critical.
i beam are lighter and run dual pressurized oil passages and is better for all motor aplications..... but the 'H' beam design is stronger then the 'I' beam set up.. i believe if ur gonna run turbo or sc u would want to go with the 'H' beam.
