ok my tranny got locked out of reverse, so like now i got it fixed i drove around then had a situation where i had to reverse, first few times it was fine, then like all of a sudden i tried to shift out of reverse and it got stuck in reverse for like a second, then i was able to shift out, is that normal, does it take time for the new parts to adust or wear in or did something not stay right??? any ideas

 

i believe that's not normal. might be a detent ball or shift folk issue. and how did you get your tranny fixed?

 

well my car had an extended warranty, get this, i had only 800 miles to go before the warranty expired!!!!!!!!!! talk about luck huh man!!!! the dealership repaired it, it was my 1st 2nd and 3rd and reverse synchros that had seen their days, but i believe it was the previous owner who didnt take care of the car to well. hit me back up

 

oh so the previous owner who got it repair at the dealership and now the car's breaking down. I suggest you take it back to the dealership for a repair before 800 miles runs out if you still have that warranty.

 

damn..the previous owner must have abused the hell of out of the tranny then. thats what people now day got to be aware of buying a ricer.
