Default Speedo still doesn't worked, I checked a handful of stuff already!!

Ok, my speedo doesn't work...

1) I replaced the speed sensor a while ago thinking it was that, and it still didn't work.

2) it's not the cluster since i swapped in black probe's today and it still didn't work.

3) I checked the wiring behind the cluster, and it's in A2 - Yellow/Blue, and it seemed connected fine, and didn't seem cut anywhere.

What else can I check? Any relays or something? Thanks for any help

BUMP, and also, what would cause a speedo to read 5mph less? I just swapped mine and notice it was 5 mph slower

different sized tires/wheels can offset the speedo a little bit.....not sure if you changed those or not...

Anywho, i checked the fuse and it's fine. I found an ECU diagram and checked the wire for the speedo and it looks fine (well for as much as i can see).

What would i use to test that wire? A voltmeter?

I did a b18b1 swap in my 93 civic EX and the cluster worked with the D16z6 and after I did the swap it doesn't work with the b18. I changed the speed sensor with a new one and it still doesn't work.

So bump for ideas to help both of us out

even though you changed speed sensors, make sure the connection is good, for me, that sensor is a bitch to get clipped together.

Also, for the guy who's speedo is off, maybe you have a speedo that is set up for KMH instead of MPH, it would read somewhat off like that.

i doubt it, but there isn't a switch ont he back of the clusters ot go from mph to kmh cus usually they are both on the face of the cluster...
