Brakes?
Yea so i have a 00' civic ex and sometimes when im driving and i brake to a stop i hear like one loud click noise coming from maybe the passenger side of my front brakes...so if any of you guys have any clue of what it might be ill appreciate it...and also i got it checked from the acura dealership i got it from but they said that they dont see anything wrong with the brakes
If it's just a pop sound that only happens once every time you brake, it is probalby a bad/unseated balljoint. I had that on my Civic, if I accelerated hard & then hit the brakes it would click/pop. I replaced the lower balljoint & it was gone. It can be really hard to track down since it requires a lot of force to make the noise. My mechanic said my balljoint looked perfectly fine, but I could tell it wasn't seated all the way (bad stud). That's why I had him replace it...
94eg!, do you think there's a possiblity that the pad is seated incorrectly in the caliper (bad shim or something) and everytime he initially applies pressure to the brake pedal, the pad moves and hits the end of the caliper? Or is that incredibly far fetched?
