It could also be a bad wheel bearing or an axle that's starting to go? It only happens under braking or does it happen under accelleration or turning?

If it's just a pop sound that only happens once every time you brake, it is probalby a bad/unseated balljoint. I had that on my Civic, if I accelerated hard & then hit the brakes it would click/pop. I replaced the lower balljoint & it was gone. It can be really hard to track down since it requires a lot of force to make the noise. My mechanic said my balljoint looked perfectly fine, but I could tell it wasn't seated all the way (bad stud). That's why I had him replace it...

94eg!, do you think there's a possiblity that the pad is seated incorrectly in the caliper (bad shim or something) and everytime he initially applies pressure to the brake pedal, the pad moves and hits the end of the caliper? Or is that incredibly far fetched?
