My lude just pulled an ecu code 41. this is the primary oxygen sensor heater. I just replaced by old primary o2 sensor with a bosch o2 sensor about 2 months ago. Help me out here guys.

That could be your problem. Im just a firm beliver in stock honda parts but maybe its just me.

At work we ran into a similar problem (it was on a Ford Ranger though) it ended up being a strip fuse but it took like 3 full days for someone to figure it out.
Was it a universal O2 sensor?
Was it a universal O2 sensor?
Yes it was a universal oxygen sensor. I belive that the connections are fine becasue it did it personally with my friend who has lots of electrical experiance. Im still gonna jack her up and take a look at the wiring again. In case the wiring is fine, what else could it be?

i had the same problem. Replace the primary o2 with an aftermarket OEM replacement and not 3 months later i had to replace it with a real OEM honda replacement. boy that wasnt cheap.
Tonight my battery light kept coming on , and then wouild randomly disappear after a while. I tried to see if the battery contacts were good, tapped the alternator, and restarted the car multiple times, only to see the same problem again. Im thoruoghly convinced that something is wrong and i cant find it. I spend 300 on a new alternator, new battery, and i need to track this damn problem down soon.

theres nothing wrong with those parts. i bought a O2 sensor from Autozone 2 years ago and its still working. forgot what brand though.

Im gonna go pull my ECU right now and try to check all the conections going into it. If any more opinions are floating around, please post em .
Alright, so i spent 3 hours checking everytinhg. i pulled the ECU, checked all the connections. They all appered to be fine. i cleaned the plug that goes into the alternator, cleaned the battery terminals that are actaully brand new, checked all the fuses, checked most of the wiring i could check. After all this, the problem is still there. I cant drive the car now, so this really blows
also - in the meantime - how is/was your belt tension to the alt? possibility of slippage? creating a no-charge situation?
don't spose you got a helm's eh? there is a good explanation on 23-105 and 23-106 on how to go about troubleshooting it. with possible outcomes -
1. light (obviously your light works! hehe)
2. fuse 23 (underdash fuse box)
3. opens in certain wires (somewhat unlikely but you never know)
4. voltage reg. took a *****.
of course it's a lot more detailed.. i could try and help you more, if none of this helps and you dont' have a helms

well altilude, i unfortunatelly dont have a helms cuz none round her carries it. Provbly time to buy one online.
I check ed the tension on the alternator, and its very tight , spins fine and turns the pulley well. I checke dthe fuze box under the hood, nad in the wheel well, and all the fuzes seem to be fine. I thought hte the voltage regualtor was built into the alternator but i might be wrong here. If it isnt the voltage regualator, then by god it must be an open wire somewhere. That **** would be sooo hard to find tho. OH damn i hope thats not it. Thanks again guys.

I just went on a middle-of the night tedt to see how the lude is doing and all is crap. I started the car and then pulled the negative batt. terminal off of the battery and the car instantly died on me. What would that mean?
1. turn the ignition switch on
___does the charging system light come on (batt light) ---- no? - other problem
(yes)
2. Start the engine.
___does the charging system light go off (i assume your problem)
(no)
3. turn the ignition switch off
4. Disconnect the 4-P connector from the alternator
5. turn the ignition switch on
6 Does the charging system light come on?
(yes
disconnect the abs control unit, the 4ws control unit, and the integrated control unit as applicable. if the charging system light stays on repair the short to ground in the wht/blue wire.
(no
wht/blu wire is OK, perferm alt/regulator test.
7. turn the ignition switch off
8. check the no. 23 fuse (15A) in the underdash fuse/relay box.
is the fuse OK?
(no
replace the fuse
(yes
9. disconnect the 4-p connector from the alternator
10. turn the ignition switch on
11. check for voltage at the IG (blk/yel wire) terminal of the 4-p connectotr
___is there battery voltage?
(no
repair open in the blk/yel wire
(yes
ground the wht/blu wire at the L terminal of the 4-p connector
___does the charging system light come on?
(no
check for a blown charging system light bulb. if the bulb is ok, repair the open in the wht/blu wire.
(yes
replace the voltage reg.
4/P connector (t, and T are plastic not pins).
_ t _
I T I first I on this line is L (wht/blu) , second I on this line is IG (blk/yel).
p.s. BUMP for curious if this is solved/how (:
