In progress EJ1 H22 boost :)
Alright guys i sold my itbs for boost and its looking good so far. Only problem so far is that the wastegate is hitting the hood hardcore and i chopped up the hood a bit and the wastegate cover. heres the parts list
revhard t4 manifold
Turbonetics T4 60-1 with a .70 compressor and .58 exhaust
JRC 8" intercooler
DSM 450s
3" dp
HKS style wastegate (we'll see how this works
)
Turbo xs style RFL (same goes here)
2.5" ic piping
Uberdata with a base h22 turbo map (someone wanna take a look at it for me?)http://uberdata.pgmfi.org/foru...5.bin
teaser pics!

that is the new jdm thing. to use ropes instead of welds or clamps.... everybody jump on this bandwagon asap... and post pics. I would have that manifold wastegate elbow cut off and relocated to a differn't position. wouldn't be that expensive and would be much more funtional. as it is, it you get you hood to close, it will be too close and start to mess up you paint or turn it funny colors.

lol yeah sounds easy enough.

yeah damn turbo is too big and the manifold sits the turbo out too far and not close enough to the block so im going to have to angle the radiator. i was thinking of cutting in to the frame so i could angle the radiator. the line in the pic is what im thinking of doing with the radiator. the 2 circles on the wastegate is where it hits the hood, i girnded down my hood and wastegate, so far i got the hood to latch but not lock. is it possible to rise the latch up, the only down side would be gaps around the lights and fenders which would look like ****. any other ideas?
tmr...top mount radiator...ha ha, hack a hole in the hood get a wrx hood scoop and mount the radiator on top of the engine like the subies have their intercoolers.
sounds like new manifold time

You can adjust the hood latch up a bit, maybe 1/2" max, there are three bolts on the front, just loosen them up a bit and you can slide it up or down.
I would just use a different manifold if I were you, it would be a lot easier to find a new mani than hackup your car to try to make this one work for you.

You need to do that and cut the turbo flange off and grind the collector more so you get more of an angle downwards then re-weld back on. it shouldent be that hard to make it work. Try to make the flange a 90* from the collector.
