Default Tach trouble after Hondata install and tune

Just yesterday I got my Hondata installed and tuned by Steve from SGT who did a fantastic job. We came across some tach trouble that left us both confused. With the P28 and ECU jumper harness my stock tach would only read to 6,000rpm and then immediatly fall to zero after that. We then hooked the stock ECU back up for a test and the tach worked fine. The jumper harness came from JHPUSA.COM who i called and they say that they had the same problem with the 2001 Type Rs. Steve thought it had to do with something in the jumper harness as why it was not reading past 6,000. Anyone else seen this problem before? All help is greatly appreciated. JHP will take the harness back, should i try another? I need a tach
