if u pull the pulley off its got a keyway on the crank and a mark on the oil pump. Just line them up

I can't get the pulley off (I need to take it to a shop - damn bolt) I just need to set ignition timing for emmisions.

The keyway marks 16 deg btdc (which is what I need to set it at) or tdc?

Use a dial-back timing light with the pointer on the lower timing belt cover to find 16 deg BTDC.

I would think that if the pulleys are the exact same diameter, then they would be the same degree by a protractor. Good Luck

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by devnull &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">What if I use a protractor and measure an oem pulley and transfer the 16 deg.mark to the pulley that is on there. I am pretty sure the mark on there is tdc but I will confirm before I try this. </TD></TR></TABLE>

Now theres something that I have never heard before.. Sounds like it would work fine.. Kinda strange why you dont have a timing mark on your pulley..

I don't think its strange. There are a lot of shady scammers in the import scene and its just my luck that I have to keep running in to them....
