Anyone remember the booted wheel issue? this is my version... only it involves an axle and a hub

Default Anyone remember the booted wheel issue? this is my version... only it involves an axle and a hub

I can't get the axle out! its ******* seized or something.... Anyone know how to get it out? (tried impact hammer about 8 different various sized mallets hammers etc)... also my old 4 lug is for sale... if you want this axle its extra .

It might be a little more difficult since that end it flared but worth a shot

ill just file the end of the axle prob tommorow and play with it a little more

wd40 isn't that great for removing stubborn joints/nuts/bolts/etc...i prefer pb blaster

I second the PB Blaster motion....that stuff worked wonders on all kinds of rusted up junk on an old pickup I bought....even when the 1/2" impact cranked up to 140psi + wd40 wouldn't work after 2 days of trying. Soaked it w/ PB and 5 mins later the impact broke it free on the first try (had 4 lugnuts, 2 bumper bolts, lower shock mount, caliper bolt, and 4 caliper pins that held the pads in all fused together, wd40 failed on all of them, PB Blaster worked on all of them...PB r0x0rz) All I use WD40 for now is to make squeaky closet doors quiet.

i htink u might have mushroomed the end of the axel. is it illegal to remove the boot from your car?

heat it up with a blow tourch thats wut i did with mine when i took mine out
