Its not the car you are looking for, but I have used that VHT tint on the tail lights on my truck and the results were pretty nice I think. I only put a few realy light layers on. Light still comes through perfectly red.

I did a lot of research, and playing around with different tints for lenses. I really didnt like the look of that product when I was done with it. I tried it on many different lenses, with a full range of layers. Just, the finished product wasnt as nice as I wanted.
After lots of trial and error I found a much better, but much more involved procedure. What I ended up doing was getting some clear coat, and some black dye from a local automotive paint shop, did a mix of the two, and applied with a high pressure spray gun. It took me a while to get the right mix, but when I was done, it was far superior to the Nightshades. It gave a really nice glossy look. I was able to get it dark which is what I wanted. But, with the mix that I used, at night they would allow a large amount of light through which was important. Also even in dirrect sunlight, with as dark as they were, the brake lights were still very visable. I would recommend messing around with something like that. I had nothing but big complements from people that saw it, I even had a few people that did the Nightshades try my method and loved it far more.
Far too often I see people with the Nightshades, or some other product on their tails, and it comes out with a matty look, which I think looks horrible. But as I said, my method gave a really nice glossy look. On my black car, it looked almost as if I didnt have any tail lights from far away...it was a good look. I will try and post some pictures of my car later.
