[help] pulling windshield?
anybody have experience pulling a windshield without breaking it? i've seen a couple of different tools. one with a blade, one with 2 handles and a thin wire between them to cut through the adhesive.
tips, advice, warnings? thanks, in advance.

which one did you get? the wire cutter or the knife? any experience input or feedback on the tool? they are pretty cheap, so i was considering picking one up if it would make things easier.

yeah this one deserves the quote. I did this one and its a good bit of work.
Since those windshields are like 15 years old that adhesive gets a little dry(makes the job easier.

When you use this one try not to pivot or twist that point on the blade end upwards towards the windshield, if you do you risk starting a hairline. Oh yeah, the Snap On brand name is the best kind. I tried using the auto store brand and I've broken, bent blades damaged windshields
btw, quit rapin that wagon, leave somethin for the rest of us

You will need both. The guy that replaced my windshield used both tools. Good luck

i've found some franchise companies that quote around $250, glass included, for our civic wagon.
thanks for the advice, guys. what about the trim piece that surrounds the glass. do i remove that before the glass, or with the glass?
