Default 94 Accord, 2.2L: How to fit wrench on crank pulley?

I am trying to find TDC. Problem is, there doesn't seem to be enough room to fit a wrench on the crank pulley. Do you go in through the wheel well? I tried bumping the starter motor, but couldn't line up the crankshaft with enough precision.

Also, on TDC with the #1 cylinder, will the white mark on the crank pulley line up with the little "V" pointer right above the pulley? Or is it the red mark? Or the three little marks?

If you look in your driver side wheel well there is a hole made just for this purpose.

shove a 19mm socket/ with extension thru the hole on the drivers side shroud[turn the tires to the left]
The white mark is the TDC

to find TDC on your #1 cylinder have someone turn the crank while you hold a screwdriver in your #1 sparkplug hole. the screwdriver will start to drop just after you hit TDC. so back the crank up a tiny bit to get back on TDC. this is hard to explain, but i swear it works.

This is exactly how I do it. You'll never be wrong. But only use a phillips head screw driver and not too long. You don't ant to break it off in there.

RF and TURBOWA i totally agree with you that is the way to find out if you are on top dead center but if you pull out # 4 plug and stick a screwdriver there same thing is going to happen you are on top dead but you wont know for sure if you are on # 1 top dead or # 4 top dead ,,,if you want to find just top dead center your way is exact ,,but not if you want to know if you are on 1 or 4 top dead
