Default cold idle

ok, i have a 91 crx dx, mpfi, obd1 converted (need to work on cps and o2), with a d15b vtec. i have a cold idle of 3k-3.5k rpms. i want to lower this, and since its summer i figure i dont need a cold idle, can i disconnect the intake air temp sensor to stop this? or how can i lower the cold idle? thanks
