B18C build up - help me out
new to the forum, actually my first post. But ive been browsing heavily, in fact this is where i found the car that i just bought. Its my first honda build up (but not my first ever build up) and i need some advice. First i'll start you off with what im starting with and what the final product i want to be is. Its a b18c1 block in a 94 civic coupe. The engine already has a fresh rebuild with JDM ITR pistons and rods. The top end, induction, and exhaust need attention. I'm looking for top shelf equipment so don't worry too much about the price of stuff as long as its not totally in outer space. the head has already been ported polished and milled, but i need everything else in the vlavetrain and head..... header and exhaust....... intake and manifold
The car will be dual purpose... and not daily driven... the car is fully caged and i will be used in autocross and road racing aplications.... so it muct be reliable, and have a relatively wide power band (not making hp til 8k wont do me any good on the autocross track)
basically i want to hear what you guys think is the best way to build up a streetable race motor... one last thing... since i dont kno how well (or not well) these motors respond to nitrous, what if any is a suitable amount of spray i can get away with?
thanks in advance for any1s help on this topic.... and if you enjoyed it check in the suspension section because ill be posting a similar thread abotu building up the suspension on this car.

where are you gonna spend most of your time...what rpm range? since you already have pistons, your jdm type r, you're probably still at a 1.8, for your setup, you probably don't want gobs of torque... im guessing it would make you lose traction..but since your a 1.8 its okay
your gonna be closer to 11.5 cr w/ those pistons. get omniman's flat face valves and w/ the mill you might be able to get close to 12.1... with that get some skunk pro1 cams
for a broader power band... use itbs i think 48 mm is okay since its a 1.8 and you don't wanna make power way up there....valvetrain... get RM they are cheap and there hasn't been any problems w. them...as for a header you probably want a heavy duty one like the jdm itr w/ 2.5 collector.... unless you don't think your header is gonna get bump by the ground... get some customs by smsp or rmf...as for managment use crome or uberdata... keept in mind that this is no beast... but pretty zippy...also nitrous is possible w/ tuning...
