Default jdm type r swap

2 questions:
1. I bought a 98 jdm type r. I got the ecu with it. Because my car is 2001 ecu dont match up. Ive already tried to get harness from original car but they cut at firewall. What is the easiest way to rectify.
2. I got brand new axles with swap. I just found out that japan itrs dont have abs brakes. So no speed ring sensor on axle. Can I just use gsr axles, or retro sensors from gsr to new axles.
I know this should probably be in hybrid section but you guys have all the answers. TIA for your help.

1. get a harness adapter
2. you do either or. both methods will work. but i heard that the jdm axles are larger and dont fit in us hubs.

1.Get a harness adaptor from skunk2 to go from the 2001 wire harness to 98 ecu
2.Use your GsR axles

1. Get a 00-01 USDM ECu and chip out the immobilizer, or make an adapter harness to plug the 98 ECU into your 01 harness.

2. Re-use your GSR axles.

sgt-Beat me too it.

But I dont think you can retrofit the abs ring becasue it is built in, unless the newer years you can take it off??

Contact kenji here on H-T by using the IM system. He makes kick-*** harnesses and chips ECUs.
