Icon and HJC don't fit the same. I rode with a Large HJC for about a year, got a Mainframe when I bought my new bike(from the previous owner) and it was also a large, but it ran really small and I actually used it for my ex-gf who was like 5'3.

I didn't like the Icon, so now I just give it to the ladies to wear.

It was just too tight on me, maybe I would've liked it had it fit me.

This is mine

I like it. it is not the same sizing as my HJC. I had to go a size up from my HJC.

The icon is bland but it has the Nightrider look to it.

I liked the ICON because of the match to my gear and bike but, did not like the fit. It was extremely tight on my head in XL(yes I have a big *** head) Almost to tight for break in. I ended up getting a scorpion which has a nice fit in my opinion. Let us know how the helmet is after break in.

i wear a M in HJC and a L in ICON...i go tthe alliance in flat black...i love it!!! ventilation isnt the GREATEST, but its better than my HJC, and nothing an anti-fog screen or anti-fog nose cover (forgot actual name) wouldn't solve....i need to get the gold-chrome visor for it now

I think ICON gear is CRAP but that's MY opinion.

For your head, you don't want to go with substandard equipment. Sure it's SNELL and DOT......

But that's like saying sure, my FORD Pinto was OK'd by DOT. Why would it blow up?????

kinda heavy, but they look the sh*t, icon gear is up to the standards of other gear in its price range, were a dealer for them as well as many other brands, so i get to try out alot of diff. stuff, the icon is all pretty decent,

btw those of you comfortable with hjc then didn't like icon because it was too tight
: hjc's fit poorly, way too loose, Icon's fit tight because that is how a helmet should fit, it should squeeze your cheeks and head in fairly tight, this is how all good helmets, agv, arai, etc... fit

here is a glow in the dark halo we did for a customer last year

that glow in the dark is pretty dope...
and i have both an HJC and an icon, and the Icon's quality is WAY better (not like its hard to do i guess)...BUT the HJC is lighter...which again makes me feel a little uneasy even...the icon's weight gives me a sense of security knowing it "feels" durable...whether or not it is.....welll i hope i dont have to find out...BUT again i know someone that went down on the freeway with an Icon helmet @ 80+mph and it held up like a champ
