Default Sticky Shifting

When I shift from 1st to 2nd, 2nd is kind of sticky. So is 4th. I talked with my friend he said it could be the linkage. Then I talked to a shop and they said use some syncromesh fluid. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is. Or does anyone have a similar problem? This stickyness is not allowing me to shift quickly into gear. Any help would be apperciated.
