Why wont my stereo work????
I just installed my new pioneer head unit, but it doesnt do anything. I doubled check the wiring, reset the battery, replaced the radio fuse, but still nothing works. The only wire not used on the stock harness is the illumination. Also, my climate control and all my switches are removed because my car was broken into and I had to replace my radio bezel. Does all that need to be plugged in? Please help, I need music again.

Check if you have the power cable connected correctly (yellow in most cases), and that you have grounded the black cable from the Pioneer harness to the chassis.
Check the 7.5 fuse in the engine bay...the one for memory. Don't just look at it, test it or replace it. If it is bad the radio won't work. Also check the fuse on the radio itself. Don't have to have the ilumination hooked up.
