Re: (JDMlifestyle)
its a sony...doesnt require a 10 gauge. thats usualy the alpine v-drive ones. its hooked up to the stock harness using a harness adapter or whatever they're called...by metra.
both the new and old ones are sony. old one just stopped working after being hooked up for over a year.

Check the reverse light fuse. Mine did the same thing and I couldn't find what the problem was. Then someone pointed out I didn't have any reverse lights. Checked and replaced the fuse and it worked. Yes, it sounded odd to me too.

Check all connections, check all fuses. If that's not it, you might have an alternator problem. On my old school Cavalier Z24, my deck shut off and was bein' crazy about a week before my alternator died...
But as I said before, check connections and fuses..then go to autozone or something and have them test your batt. and alternator- it's free.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Don't go about getting your stuff tested this way. I almost bought a new alternator because thier tests said it was bad when in fact the only problem was dirty connections.
