what do you guys suggest to use as a break in oil for my set-up i can't really decide. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1249275
this is from c-speedracing.com
We recommend running slightly thicker oil for the first 1000 miles of the break in period. Change the oil at 100miles, 500miles and again at 1000miles and your good to go. Then switch over to regular oil such at 5W30 or synthetic.
hope this helps a little

I just built my engine and I used 10w30 valvoline. You'll get like 30 opinions on not only what oil to use but aswell as break in theory. Switch to full syn. after 1,000 miles. Definatly need petrol based oil for breaking otherwise the rings won't seat properly and you'll have compression/blow by issues. The main thing is not letting your engine run at a constant rpm for too long, keep the rpm's at various intervals for 500 miles and change the oil after 200 miles to get rid of all the metal shavings.
