How much power can a auto tranny hold?
Just wondering, if you boosted a 98 integra rs with an auto tranny, how much power would it hold? Would this setup be shanty to drive? askin for a friend.
thanks
thanks
not a good idea unless you intend on changing the a/t fluid every other week. I used to have a b18b auto in my civic coupe boosting 10lbs. there would always be tons of metal shavings attached to the drain plug. The damn tranny would always begin to slip and I would always end up changing them...Eventually converted it to 5 spd...

IMO, you wouldnt be able to run more than 190WHP without significant problems arising.....the transmission is not built to handle that kind of load...there is a company that DOES rebuild torque converters to handle up to 400hp i belive......
