Hey, i'm selling my D2 coilovers to a friend who has a civic EK coupe.
Can anyone tell me wat adjustments are needed on the Ek for these D2 coilovers to fit?
thanks

A freind of mine is after fitting DC2 cusco coilovers into his EK4. He had a machine shop fabricate a set of ITR style LCAs to EK lenght. I think they were made from JDM EG arms which were lenghtened. He has the coilovers on now and had the alignement done and everythig lines up 100%
I just called him and asked him exactly what he did. He said he got a set of EG6 JDM LCAs (which are the same as ITR LCAs) and took them along with his original EK4 LCAs along to an engineering place and told the guy there that he wanted the EG LCAs extended to be exactly the same size and have the bolt holes in the exact same place as the EK LCAs. They cut the EG LCAs, and welded in a piece to lenghten them to EK lenght, they then welded additional strengthening pieces of steel on each side of the LCAs. He fitted them and had the suspension aligned and says he has done over 1k miles on them on shitty roads in an EK with a JDM B18C turbo'd motor boosting to 7psi (while its been run in) and that will screwed up to 12psi shortly. He said they are absolutely fine and show no signs of metal fatigue near the welds

these are the coilovers you are refering to, correct?
can you not just change the bottom mounting base to an ek/eg base? to be used w/ the ek/eg lower control arm.......
i know you can do that w/ omnipower coilovers.....they sell for about $75
someone correct me if i am wrong......

Actually, the D2 coilovers come with a "sleeve" on the bottom in order to be compatible with ITR LCA's. The actual strut (from what I've seen) is a fork type strut like the EG/EK/Non-R DC2.
Reguardless, it won't work. You'd still have to do what mugenracer said

If they are the ones shown in the pix....
contact your D2 dealer and purchase the bottom fork type bracket to replace the ITR eyelet style.
I know somebody who purchased Buddy Club P1 EK dampers and then called Buddy Club and purchase the DC2-R lower perch, swapped it out and away he went.
The same thing with Zeals.... they cost $100ea. though....No need to go through the crazy custom arms stuff unless the bottom perch is welded and cannot be removed.
